Iffath’s Sixth Star – Boston Marathon 2026

As I take on my final World Marathon Major at the Boston Marathon, becoming the 2nd ever Bengali woman to complete all six…seven Majors, I want this achievement to stand for more than just a medal. As a teacher, I see every day how transformative education can be, but no child can learn, focus, or dream on an empty stomach.

That’s why I’m raising funds for Charity Right, a zakat-eligible initiative supporting schoolchildren in Bangladesh and Palestine. Access to food means access to education, dignity, and opportunity. I’m incredibly grateful for the opportunities I’ve been given, and this is my way of giving back and finishing this journey with purpose — turning each difficult mile in Boston into meals, hope, and a future for children who deserve the same chance to thrive.
