Hajra’s Everest Base Camp Challenge 2025

Salaams and Hello,

I’ve signed up for an incredible Himalayan adventure to trek to the base of Mount Everest, the tallest peak in the world. On this 14 day adventure, I will be ascending to a height of 17,598 feet (5,364 meters). This trek offers breathtaking views, and the high altitude will require significant acclimatisation. With temperatures plunging to as low as -20°C, this will truly be a test of mental and physical endurance.

As part of this challenge, I’m raising funds with Charity Right, an international food charity dedicated to eradicating hunger. Their mission is to provide nutritious school meals to children in some of the world’s most vulnerable communities, with a special focus on Palestine.

Why Palestine? The story of Palestine is one of unyielding resilience and hope, despite decades of conflict and hardship. Charity Right works tirelessly to support children here through school meals, emergency food packs, and hot meals for displaced and vulnerable families. For many, this isn’t just food—it’s a lifeline, a source of stability, and a chance to pursue an education.

Beyond Palestine

The struggle for food security isn’t confined to one region. Across the globe, in conflict zones and areas devastated by natural disasters, millions of children face hunger and uncertainty every day.

These children share a common need: nourishment, stability, and the opportunity to build a brighter future.
